Professor Dimitri Nadirashvili is a Doctor of Psychology, holder of European - EAGT accreditation, EAP certified psychotherapist. For his book "Socio-Psychological Influence", he was awarded the Dimitri Uznadze State Scientific Prize. Gestalt therapy was introduced to Georgia by Dimitri Nadirashvili. He founded (2011) the First Gestalt Therapy Institute (SEGI), which is currently the only European - EAGT accredited (2019) Gestalt psychotherapy training institute in Georgia and the Caucasus. Dimitri Nadirashvili is the President of the EAGT umbrella organization "Georgian Association of Gestalt Therapists" (GAG); he works in the Research Committee (RC) of the European Association of Gestalt Therapists (EAGT) and is a full member of the International Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR); he is headed by St. Andrew the First Georgian University of Psychology; He is the author of the first original Georgian textbook on Gestalt therapy, “Existential Gestalt Therapy” (2007); The second textbook, “Theory and Practice of Gestalt Therapy”, was co-authored and published by Dimitri Nadirashvili and Tea Gogotishvili (2018); Together they work on the scientific-practical integration of mood theory and Gestalt therapy; At the invitation of Europeans, they give lectures, author workshops in various conferences and promote the innovations of the Georgian psychological school on the international stage. Dimitri Nadirashvili is the author of 7 books and more than 50 scientific papers published in refereed journals; His research areas are: social, personality, mood psychology, psychoanalysis, Gestalt therapy. He works practically, with groups and individuals, couples, families and athletes.
