Professor Tea Gogotishvili is a Doctor of Psychology, an EAGT-accredited Gestalt therapist, and an EAP-certified Gestalt psychotherapist. She is a full member of the International Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR).

Together with Dimitri Nadirashvili, she founded the first Georgian National Gestalt Institute in Georgia and the Caucasus in 2011. The Institute is currently the only EAGT-accredited Gestalt psychotherapy training institute in the region, having received EAGT accreditation in 2019.

Tea Gogotishvili is an active member of the Training Institutes Council (TIC) of Gestalt institutes accredited by EAGT in Europe. She chairs the Committee on Training Standards and Professional Competencies of the EAGT umbrella organization, the Georgian Association of Gestalt Therapists (GAG).

She heads the Dimitri Uznadze Psychology Training and Consulting Center and is a Full Professor at St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University.

Together with Dimitri Nadirashvili, she co-authored and published the textbook Theory and Practice of Gestalt Therapy (2018). They work together on the scientific and practical integration of Dimitri Uznadze's 'Theory of Set' and Gestalt therapy. At the invitation of European professional organizations and institutions, they deliver lectures and workshops in various countries and promote the achievements and innovations of the Georgian school of psychology on the international stage.

Professor Tea Gogotishvili is the author of four books and more than 30 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals. Her research areas include the psychology of Set and psychotherapy.

She provides psychological consultation and psychotherapy, both face-to-face and online, working with individuals, groups, couples, and families. She works in Georgian, English, and Russian.
