Tea Gogotishvili


Professor Tea Gogotishvili is a Doctor of Psychology, holder of European - EAGT accreditation, EAP certified Gestalt psychotherapist. She is a full member of the International Society for Psychotherapy Research SPR; together with Dimitri Nadirashvili, she founded the first "Georgian National Gestalt Institute" in Georgia-Caucasus (2011), which is the only regionally accredited Gestalt therapy training institute in Europe - EAGT (2019). Tea Gogotishvili is an active member of the Council of Gestalt Institutes (TIC) accredited in Europe - EAGT / She chairs the Committee on Training Standards and Professional Competencies of the EAGT umbrella organization - the Georgian National Association of Gestalt Therapists; heads the Dimitri Uznadze Psychology Training and Consulting Center and holds the position of Full Professor at St. Andrew the First Georgian University. Together with Dimitri Nadirashvili, she has written and published the textbook “Theory and Practice of Gestalt Therapy” (2018); they work together on the scientific-practical integration of mood theory and Gestalt therapy; at the invitation of Europeans, they give lectures, author workshops in various countries and promote the innovations of the Georgian psychological school on the international stage. Tea Gogotishvili is the author of 4 books and more than 30 scientific papers published in refereed journals; her research areas are: mood psychology and psychotherapy. She provides psycho-consultation and psychotherapy, face-to-face and online, individually, with groups, couples and families; she works in Georgian, English and Russian.
